Canberra meets Neon Tokyo at the Luton Charity Ball

The annual Luton Charity Ball: it’s one of the most prestigious events on the Canberra calendar. It’s an opportunity to
network with fellow business peers, meet your future husband, raise money for very important local charities, and let’s
not forget… dress to impress! This year’s affair was held at the AIS Arena, Saturday 4 August, with the theme NEON
TOKYO. It was a stylish night, with over 550 guests in attendance, and some jaw-dropping entertainment. International
acclaimed actor and singer Matt Hetherington did a fantastic job as the MC, helping guests warm up their pockets and
donate after a few sparking wines later in the night. With a huge amount raised for Hartley Lifecare, Project Independence and Karinya House, it’s safe to say the night was a huge success!
Here are some of the most outstanding looks from the night…
Let’s start with the Founder of Luton properties himself. Richard Luton wowed everyone with this Tokyo inspired Gucci
suit. Canberra fashion queen and former Melbourne Cup Fashions on the Field winner Sarah Kelly dressed it up in a bright pink
number from Solace London and a lemon ASOS clutch to contrast.
The gorgeous Kate wins the award for my pick of best dressed on the night. She complimented this Nookie brand dress from Mussen with a pink and gold oriental clutch and chopsticks in her hair to wrap up the Tokyo inspired look.
These fellow Canberra models collaborated with blue on the night. Jesse wore a smart tuxedo from Morganson’s Finery and Sinead wowed in this ball gown from local designer Naomi Peris Bridal.
My fellow Fashion Vault editor Janette nailed the elegant look. The tight-fitted red dress from Mussen was paired with the most amazing pair of gold, Fendi shoes. Paul's suit complemented her look, his gold, pocket square easily nailed the Japanese theme.
And finally, I chose to wear my favourite colour of the season right now ‘red’, in a high-slit, low-cut dress.
I channelled the Neon Tokyo theme with a Japanese fan and some gold earrings. The gorgeous Lauren
wore a silver Delilah Gown proving that with a dress like this, you are the statement of the night!
