Sapphire Fashion Show

Last Thursday evening the Sapphire Kingston display suite was converted into a fashion runway where Canberra's style and property gurus were invited invited to mingle, indulge in nibbles and be inspired by some of the looks and trends spotted at the latest Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.

The event was held to celebrate the recent launch of  Sapphire, the last and arguably most prestigious, waterfront development along the Kingston Foreshore. The development complex will exude quality, sophistication and luxury so it was only fitting to feature fashion as part of the celebration.

We were invited to emcee and host the evening and of course style the runway. As stylists, we were so delighted with this opportunity, as we love nothing more than fashion and talking fashion and were honoured to have partnered up with a brand as prestigious as Sapphire.

Janette, DJ and Sofia (me)

When curating the runway looks we instantly knew the brands we wanted to showcase and which key themes from the MBFWA runway we were most inspired by - lace, blush pinks, volume, asymmetrical silhouettes, shades of blue, but also made sure our style collection represented our individual aesthetics.

DJ injects her own personality into her fashion and is known for her take on sports luxe and edgy style. Her runway looks included Thurley, Aje, Georgia Armani and Bec and Bridge and embodied the sophistication and high end feel of the event whilst staying true to her edgy aesthetic.

When it came to my runway looks, I reminisced on head-to-toe tonal in all shades of pinks, featured in the resort wear collections at MBFWA and was inspired by the sophisticated and luxury offerings of the Sapphire brand. I featured two of my favourite evening wear brands - Bec & Bridge and Shona Joy.

Janette's style is colourful, bright and bold and loves anything luxe! Her first look was a showstopper from Thurley which matched the red carpet perfectly. Her style collection included luxe silks from Zimmerman and feathering detail by Aje.

We would like to thank Keggins, Morris Walker and everyone that came along to the event. We had a blast and can't wait to do it all over again!

A special thank you to Cassie from Plum Photography for our fabulous images.
