ICYMI: Our fave looks from the Grammys Red Carpet

Ashanti looks like a true superstar in this sheer gold mettalic gown. We loved how she kept her hair and shoes toned down letting her dress make the statement.

We are giving Miley Cirus brownie points for her new slick and demure look. She looks youthful, fresh and elegant all at the same time.

Rita Ora's velvet gown is classic yet sexy. The perfect combo for the Grammys.

Janelle Monae's embroidery tux is a winner in our books. Though, the pants look look a little ill fitting we loved the creativity of her look.

Amongst a lot of black we love Zayn's perfectly tailored skinny leg pant suit. The colour suits him to a tee and the coloured socks add a bit of fun to his look.

Last but not least we couldn't go past Lady Gaga's look with an incredible oversized train. She has perfectly mastered the balance of red carpet and costume. The lace body suit makes this outfit and of course would expect nothing less than her OTT platforms - true Gaga style.

What were your fave looks?

The Hamptons

A big shout out to summer, we feel you! It’s time to embrace your inner lady of leisure and channel the Hamptons and wear white.

Looking like lady of leisure doesn't have to cost much! This look was pulled from Ally Fashion at the Canberra Outlet Centre.  I was drawn to the texture of this off the shoulder top as it has an essence of luxury. I paired it back back with some stripped culottes for a relaxed and sophisticated look. Mixing texture and print is something I love to do. Adding metallics to an outfit is a great way to take it into the evening. This cute little clutch was on sale at Portmans.

Forcast is another one of my favourite stores to find well priced clothing. I often shop there for corporate wear however it's also a great place from special occasion clothing.

Bron my muse let me dress her in a classic combo, white pants and neutrals.
Due to her petite frame I chose cropped pants to help elongate her frame.

I was drawn to the silk top for the fabric and cut. The boat neck with the longer sleeve and sheen is an elegant choice styled with a statement necklace (a wardrobe item all women should own). For me white with neutrals is a classic lady of leisure choice.

The ultimate summer dress

Over the summer break I was adamant to find the ultimate summer dress. I wanted something colourful, versatile and flowy to keep me cool over the Christmas break. I wanted something I could just throw on with a pair of sandals or dress up with heels.

In my search I ventured into some of my favourite stores and kept picking up dresses suited to my usual style (tailored, classic) so it was to my surprise that this printed red off-the shoulder dress from caught my eye.

Pushing myself out of my comfort zone I tried it on and to my surprise loved it. I must admit I felt like the dancing emoji girl in it at first but the versatility and comfort of it won me over and the price was an absolute steal.

Dress from Ally || Canberra Outlet Centre

I styled it with a blue pair of strappy heels to and a red lip to elevate the look.

I am so happy I found the ultimate summer dress which I know I will bring out again next Christmas break.

Have you found your ultimate summer dress?
