Summer is
upon us. As are the numerous social engagement invitations. After work drinks,
birthdays and nights out on the town (on top of all the Christmas festivities
and new year’s). I must say each time I
open my wardrobe I am plagued with the disease of “I have nothing to wear”.
However we
all know this isn’t true. To overcome this debilitating wardrobe syndrome I
always try to think of new ways of wearing my older items.I challenge my clients and myself to step outside our comfort zones and think of ways to layer items, creating something new from something old. Texture and layers add a point of difference. It doesn’t always work and you can run the risk of looking like you’re playing chocolate boggle but have fun with it and give it a go. Fashion is fun and gives you room to experiment if you have the courage to do so.
This look
is a rehash of a number of old items and one new favourite! Heels from Aldo
(NYC), the skirt is from birthday outfit
two years ago. Paired back with a see through crop from a random boutique in
Sydney with a Tommy Hilfiger bra underneath.
This
amazing tassel bag is from Collette By Collette Hayman. An impulse purchase
when I was franticly doing my last minute Christmas shopping for family. Nothing
like getting a bargain<3
What do you
think of this look?
