Full Name: Debby Vilensky

Tell us about your beauty and blogging journey:

I was working as a freelance journo and had some spare time that I wanted to fill with something creative so I started a blog. There’s a lot of sad news out there in the world and as a journalist it’s a big part of my life, so I decided to focus my blog on something different and my other passions which are fashion and beauty. As far back as I can remember my Mum has always had her three step morning and evening beauty routine so my interest in it and fascination started when I was young. My uncle actually bought me my first lip gloss when I was about 9 or 10 and I just felt so glamorous wearing it. After that there was no going back.

I was the one who always did my friend's hair and make up before we went out and my Dad says with what I have in my wardrobe I can open my own store. I love getting new clothes and invest in items that last but also pick up the on trend pieces every season. I am a sucker for new beauty products on the market and learning about them, then passing that knowledge on.

Favourite beauty product of all time?: This is such a hard one. I have to say it’s a tie between NARS Laguna bronzing powder which gives such a natural glow and you can build it up. I am also in love with Dior’s illuminating face powder. It gives a little something extra on the cheekbones and is beautifully subtle.

Your go-to product for dry winter skin is… For my body I love Nivea firming body lotion. I figure if I’m moisturising anyway, I might as well firm up the skin too - it’ll be worth it in a few decades time. For my hands I am all about L’Occitane and their rose hand and nail cream is silky soft and smells amazing.

What are your top 3 make up kit essentials?: Concealer (right now I’m using Estee Lauder double wear), mascara (I change it all the time) and lip gloss.

What are your colour predictions for spring? I think there’ll be bold colours like blues and oranges and a lot of print. For the colour phobes, there’ll be plenty of black, cream and muted tones. When it comes to makeup I think it’ll be all about the glow, natural dewy skin and some beautiful pinks on our lips.

When you are not obsessing over beauty and fashion you are … at the gym or reading a book - none of this kindle stuff, a real book.

Who What Wear - MSBHV meets A$AP Rocky

The Fashion Vault snapped student Michael John in Belconnen this week.

Michael’s fashion flavour is a mix of grunge, street and casual wear. His favourite brand is Misbhav. The leather jacket featured in this shot is by Misbhav and is one of his wardrobe staples.
“I love this Misbhav jacket because I’m into leather and have an appreciation for patchwork. It also draws inspiration from the past giving it a 70s vibe” said Michael.

“One of my style influencers has to be A$ap Rocky as he likes to dress well and it’s not just about swagger”.

Like Michael, we should all own a leather jacket that reflects your style wether is be plain or adorned. Leather jackets are great for all seasons and are worth the investment.

Who What Wear - Sydney Street Style Stalking

Last weekend I went up to Sydney to explore. Unlike Canberra it wasn't antarctic weather how ever it was still a bit miserable with the rain.

That didn't stop me doing some street style stalking.

Thanks to all my muses xo Deejay

Four items you need right now

Sometimes you just need something new, you know the feeling?! And since we all should be saving money, I have some quick fixes that won't break the bank. Choose one or all!

1. Paint your nails with this espresso Witchery nail colour.
2. Tie a silk scarf around your neck. Not only keeps you warm but adds some dimension to your look.
3. Wear one of Poshaaq's Lux satin top, cut out from satin-silk and detailed with gold hard wear. It's now going to be my go to tops.
4. Lastly, swipe these Sportsgirl lip chalks to embrace the mocha vibes. Deepen your lips and add a bit of drama.
Tell us if you bought any of the above? We'd love to hear from you!
